Pride of Dacono

The Pride of Dacono award was developed to recognize residents and community business members making a difference in the community. Throughout the year, the Mayor and members of the City Council will select a Dacono resident or member of the business community as a Pride of Dacono recipient. 

Nomination Qualifications

Nominations for the award are generally based on but are not limited to, the criteria below.

1. Community involvement (City + greater area)
2. Service to City (volunteerism)
3. Property maintenance/beautification efforts (private property)
4. Community betterment- Efforts to make Dacono a better place to live, raise a family, and do business.

January 2023:  Esh's Grocery Market

On January 23, 2023, Councilmembers Crespo and Wittman presented the Pride of Dacono award to Esh's Grocery Market.  Councilmember Wittman cited, "Their grand gestures of assistance to the community while located in Dacono, have been appreciated by many residents.  From their product “sales” to their donations to local events, non-profit partnerships, and their friendly staff, the City of Dacono has been blessed to have them in Dacono."
