Building Codes

The City Council of the City of Dacono will hold a Public Hearing starting at 6:00 p.m., July 12, 2021. The hearing will be conducted electronically in accordance with policies adopted by Resolution of the City Council. The purpose of the hearing will be to consider adoption of an ordinance to: (1) adopt by reference the National Electric Code, 2020 Edition, published by the National Fire Protection Association, 1 Batterymarch Park, Quincy, Massachusetts 02169, the subject matter of which includes the regulation of the new construction, alteration and repair of all new and existing structures by providing minimum standards and requirements pertaining to electrical installations; and (2) amend codes previously adopted by reference as recommended by the Building Official. Copies of the codes proposed to be adopted by reference are available for public inspection at the office of the City Clerk between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, holidays excepted.
