Deputy City Clerk-Municipal Court Clerk
The City of Dacono is currently accepting applications for a Deputy City Clerk/Municipal Court Clerk. Individuals interested in applying for this position will be responsible for providing administrative support, processing and maintaining various business licenses, and assisting with records management for the City. The Clerk will also act as the main point of contact for the municipal court and provide oversight for general court business. Key responsibilities include assisting with the management of city files and records, processing applications and renewals for various licenses and permits, and providing coverage for the City Clerk during absences. The Clerk is required to attend all municipal court sessions, provide support for all court operations and prepare associated documents needed for court operations.
Interested candidates must have a combination of education and experience of at least a high school diploma/GED and three years of administrative experience, excellent computer skills, and experience using the Microsoft Office suite of products. Customer service experience and excellent communication skills are a MUST! Experience in local government and/or municipal court preferred.
The City offers an excellent benefits package, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance and a non-contributory pension plan (8% of wages). Starting pay range will be between $26.40-$36.95 hourly, depending on experience and qualifications. An initial review of applications will begin on April 11, 2023. Maintenance Technician I-III
Functions as a Maintenance Technician for Utilities, Transportation and Facilities.
Utilities duties:
Under general supervision, performs a variety of entry level to skilled operation, construction, maintenance and repair of a Water Distribution system and a Storm water system; including multiple types of water mains, valves, fire hydrants, service lines, water meters, as well as, multiple types of stormwater mains, manholes, catch basins, ditches, drainageways, flood control and stormwater facilities.
Transportation duties:
Under general supervision, performs a variety of entry level to skilled street maintenance and repair tasks in the areas of maintenance, construction and equipment operation for City transportation corridors; maintenance and repair work related to signs and pavement markings; median maintenance, mowing and landscaping grounds at various public facilities and City parks; inspection of similar work performed by contractors.
Facilities duties:
Under general supervision, performs a variety of duties related to building maintenance of City facilities.
