Maintenance I/II

The City of Dacono is seeking an individual to fill a Maintenance I or II position.

This position performs a variety of maintenance, repair and construction work on public facilities and projects.

Essential Job Functions: Participates in the manual labor associated in the operation, maintenance, repair and construction of the roadway system, storm drainage system, parks and water system.

Qualification Requirements: Must have good communication skills. Must have the ability to safely use and operate tractors, snowplows, backhoe, lawnmower, various spray equipment and power tools.  Must be able to perform a variety of tasks for periods in unfavorable weather conditions.  Required to respond to emergency after hour calls and on-call responsibilities.  Educational requirements for this position are at least a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).  Must be able to pass a drug test.

Applicant must possess a Class B CDL with air brake endorsement. Applicant must also be certified in water distribution (Class I) in order to be considered for a Maintenance II position.  Hourly wage is $17.23-$23.75 for Maintenance I or $18.41-$25.82 for Maintenance II. Initial pay rate will depend on experience and certifications. This position also receives full benefits.  The position is open until filled.

Candidates may be considered for a Maintenance II position depending on experience and certifications.
