City staff has reviewed the City’s budget and has determined the budget can handle an increase to the compensation for the Mayor and Councilmembers.

Home-based businesses are termed "home occupations" in the Zoning Ordinance. Home occupations meeting certain criteria are permitted in any residential district. Home occupations do not allow outside employees, exterior storage, the emission of odor, dust, gas, noise, vibration, smoke, heat, or glare beyond the boundary of the lot, or business activity between the hours of 9 PM and 9 AM. Businesses specifically prohibited as home occupations are restaurants, commercial stables/veterinary offices, appliance repair, welding or metal fabrication or equipment rental. The city contracts with Vector Disease Control International (VDCI) for seasonal mosquito control. The services include: survey/mapping services of larval breeding sites, mosquito breeding site inspection and larviciding services (spraying), and adult mosquito trapping.

Trash service is provided to all residents by Waste Connections of Colorado and is billed on your monthly utility statement by the City. The billing for trash service is set up at the same time the water account is established. Please contact Waste Connections of Colorado at (303) 288-2100 to order extra service carts or with service issues. Trash is picked up every Thursday, except during their holiday schedule. Recycling is picked up every other Thursday.
